Description: The responsibility of every sales associate is to provide excellent customer service by creating a welcoming environment in the shop.

  • Greet customers who enter the shop in a friendly, welcoming way

  • Assist shoppers to find the gear they’re looking for

  • Listen to and answer questions customers have

  • Give input on product selection

  • Become proficient in the shop’s Point of Sales (POS) in areas such as ringing up purchases, refunds, store credits, and gift certificates

  • Become proficient in each department of the shop - sportswear, hardgoods, and footwear

  • Complete tasks and projects specific to each section on weekly task sheets and any additional project lists from managers or department leads

  • Communicate discrepancies and problems to manager and/or general manager

  • Keep the store tidy and clean: vacuuming, dusting, cleaning mirrors/windows

  • Take responsibility for security within the store. Be on the lookout for shoplifters, fraudulent credit cards, etc.

  • Keep up to date with special sales, promotions, and events


  • Attend clinics whenever possible

  • Attend store events

  • Attend monthly staff meetings

  • Be available to work two weekends a month, preferably every other weekend
