Description: The role of the assistant shop manager is to support the responsibilities of the shop manager in an effort to keep things running smoothly and effectively.

  • Help intercept incoming stressors for the manager.

  • Absorb Manager responsibilities when Manager is out.

  • Act as second set of eyes and ears on the floor.

    • Offer additional perspective on behavior of staff and effectiveness of policies

  • Provide feedback, consultation, and new ideas as to how the business can be run more effectively.

  • Accept feedback openly from staff and communicate that with the leadership team.

  • Be the intermediary between staff and customers when needed.

    • Act appropriately when dealing with customer feedback and complaints.

    • Must be helpful and polite in all situations

  • Help educate the staff on new policies and gear.

  • Follow up on daily task sheets and project lists to ensure completion.

  • Ensure that all team members are on task.

  • Help decide on disciplinary action when needed.


  • Work 2 closing shifts per week.

  • Be available to work two weekends per month, preferably, every other weekend.
